Our philosophy at the Gathering Place is to serve our clients in a holistic, kind and caring way.  We want to assist each person in learning to live a healthy, authentic life.
 
JENNIFER BRADT, MS, LPC-S, NCC
Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers counseling services based on a growth-oriented model to children ages 4-18, parents, families, couples and individual adults who are looking to experience change in their lives.  A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Jennifer has been licensed in Texas since 1999.  She believes that our lives are centered around the relationships we create and our perception of how well they are working.  We will all experience relational struggles and challenges during our lives, beginning with sibling rivalry, playground/peer difficulties and strained familial relationships.  Jennifer will welcome you into a warm and compassionate relationship where your concerns will be heard regardless of your age.  Through her faith, education,  professional training and experience as a mom, Jennifer is able to connect with her clients and offer effective, individualized solutions which instill hope and encourage positive change.  Jennifer resides in Frisco, TX with her husband and children.
 
CHRIS M JOHNSON, MA, LPC-Intern
Chris is a graduate of Amberton University where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance from Texas A&M.  For over twelve years, Chris has been highly active in community outreach services such as Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and Big Heart Ministries as a representative of his church.He also served as the Youth Director at his church for several years allowing him to gain valuable insight and experience in working with children and adolescents.  Chris is under the direct supervision of Jennifer Bradt for his counseling internship. 
 
Chris has been married to his wonderful wife for 14 years and has two amazing girls.  He feels that each piece of his life has served as a stepping stone preparing him for a career in counseling.  Chris believes that every person has the ability and the right to live a happy and purposeful life.  It is his goal to help others achieve happiness and purpose in their own lives.
 
 
SHANNON E. TAYLOR, PhD
Dr. Taylor obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Dallas where she majored in Psychology and minored in Neurobiology.  She received both her Master of Science in Psychology and her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas.  Dr. Taylor continued extensive training in Neuropsychology as an intern at The Taylor Clinic, then as a post doctoral fellow at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Taylor continued her tenure as a staff psychologist at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas until opening her private practice in Frisco.   Her focus is on brain-behavior relationships as well as neuropsychological assessment for pediatrics, health psychology and behavioral medicine.
